DESCRIPTION:
The Rose Bowl is an annual collegiate championship game that is played at the Rose Bowl Stadium in Pasadena, California. The first Rose Bowl occurred on January 1, 1902 and saw California’s Stanford University play Michigan’s Midwestern. Michigan blew out Stanford with a 49-0 score.
The Rose Bowl is the oldest bowl game in the United States and is known as 'The Granddaddy of Them All'.
Before the game is one of the most famous parades in the world: The tournament of Roses Parade. Every float can only use organic materials. Displays are literally made of flowers, seeds, fauna and dirt. The results are spectacular. The Rose Parade and the Rose Bowl are New Years Day traditions in the US, televised to the world.
